Founded in 1995 by John Sotiriadis and Nelson Lang, the Pita Pit is a fast food restaurant with a new and unique approach. The goal is to offer quality, healthy, fresh food - fast! With a friendly informal atmosphere and a varied and tasty menu selection, the idea has caught on.

The first Pita Pit opened in 1995 in Kingston, Ontario to great success. In 1997, realizing that they had started a new trend, John and Nelson set out on a journey that would see them open many stores across Canada.

The Pita Pit has now expanded it's operations into the United States and has opened several successful locations across the country.  Rishi Mattoo, Neil Kapadia, Daniel Corno and Andrew Corno have partnered up in opening the first Pita Pit in the Washington, DC Metro area. 

We are located in the lower level of George Washington University's food court on 23rd and G, NW.  Hours of operation are 11:00am - 2:00am daily.
